From the TH&C Building Committee
Planning for the 3rd and final stage of the club’s redevelopment has commenced with our architect, Shane Denman Designs. The scope of work is currently identified as:
- new entry foyer and atrium
- new first aid room
- the function room in the area of the old boardroom, supporter’s office and stairwell.
- alterations and refurbishment of the ladies and mens toilets and bar
- new supporters office and store on the ground floor level
Consideration will also be given to how best the club addresses its future power needs.
The new entry will include a formal reception, display walls, lift and stairs. The function room will cater for approx. 80- 100 persons and when not in use will serve as additional general dining space. The function room will include additional toilets and access the existing veranda space. The new first aid room will face the beach and be designed to comply with SLSQ standards.
Once schematic design has been completed, we will obtain cost estimates from Hutchinson Builders. The cost estimates will provide the club with options for prioritising the scope of work and staging if required.
The timing of Stage 3 works will obviously depend very much on the Supporters Club returning to normal trading conditions. It is hoped that this will occur in the near future.
It is expected that documentation of Stage 3 will be presented to members at the next AGM where approval will be sought to proceed with scope, timing and final design.
The drawings included represent the current developed design.
