The Tweed Heads and Coolangatta Nippers concluded its 49th season in March with an Annual meeting and break up the typified the season. It was a lot of fun and lots of new people stepped up prepared to have a crack at making our 50th anniversary year the greatest nipper’s year ever.
On November 13 1966 a group of club members started Nippers at our club. It wasn’t the first on the coast but very close. Membership was 20 cents for the first child and 10 cents for all subsequent siblings. Through the year we will be researching our Nipper movements with plans for a great weekend in November when we celebrate our 50th. It will be a great year.
We will have nearly 30 new water safety personnel all keen to get their SRC and Bronze and New Committee members ready to make a difference.
