The Tweed Heads and Coolangatta SLSC Old Boys officially formed in October 1962. Membership consists of all former active, associate, active  reserve and life members holding the Bronze Medallion.

The key aim of the club is to maintain the friendships made while members of the surf club and generally bring together by way of social activities former members and their families.  There is also the desire to assist the surf club and to encourage youngsters to become involved in the surf lifesaving movement.

For many years the Old Boys would patrol the beach at Easter, allowing the active members to attend the Australian surf championships.  A highlight for the Old Boys’ was the formation on the Nippers in 1966.

Each year the old Boys’ continue to be a strong ‘shoulder to lean on’, providing a workforce for a number of the Club’s fundraisers or with setting up and manning barbecue stands.

The TH&C SLSC Old Boys’ provide annual trophies for the outstanding Junior and Cadet Lifesavers.

In 2009 Alan Hickling became Old Boys’ patron – fine recognition for his role in founding the group.
